Our Open and Affirming (ONA/O&A) Statement
We, Disciples United Community Church (DUCC), acknowledge ourselves as an “open and affirming (ONA/O&A)” church, thereby accepting this movement within the United Church of Christ and the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) which seeks to celebrate the unique gifts and ministries of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender persons within all aspects of church life and ministry. Informed by our own collective understanding of God’s presence, love, and reconciling power, we graciously accept this calling as a part of our ministries together.
